hmmm nothing it seems from my predictin that England will win this one 4:0 ; but even though only 10 min left, I am certain that they will win it in 92nd minute if not earlier...

I actually think England will be in the final for sure, typical Italian style, struggle first two, they will win agains Slovenia, go through top of the group struggle in the first round than go on to the final... Capello magic

I mean I thought I understood the criticism of Ericsson and before him Keegan (too young to remember/care before that) and I might have even entertained the idea that Capello could rejuvenate that miserable team, but now I'm leaning more and more toward England just being incorrigible.

There's no lacking in quality in any position, besides England being the land of no goalkeepers, but no matter how well they do in their clubs and in Champions League the minute they step into a competitive match with the national team all of them play as if on sedatives no matter who leads them.

And the predictions are all screwed up atm. Hardly any of the favorites for gold looks good. Argentina is a possible exception, excellent goals, but honestly I think they got lucky in both matches so far and the scoreline vs SKorea flatters them.

OK 92'nd min goal is missing, but I am still standing by the final comment... Capello will give them a drilling of a lifetime, and I predict a lot better performance going forward

I've watched virtually every game of every world cup game since 1982 and it never fails to amaze me how England can not produce a player who will shoot the ball at the goal in international play. Why do they feel they need to walk the ball into the net? What is it that's missing from the english psyche? Maybe we need to "import" players like the Germans seem to be doing for this world cup?

Rooney and Heskey need to be sat down! They suck! Maybe it'd light a fire under Rooneys arse and it might allow Heskey to rest his old bones.

Why does England run that strange system?

Algeria was just running the standard 3-4-3

England was running a 4 2.5 3.5 with Gerrard as HB and Forward.

They have a midfield problem. It's hard to get anything going when everything has to go through the 2 midfielders. Why don't they go to a 3-3-4?

No. The US and England would both have one win and two draws, for 5 points. Slovenia would have one win, one draw and one loss, for 4 points.

USA draws Algeria and England draws Slovenia -> whoever has scored the most goals of USA and England join Slovenia
