What a night last night

Chicago loses and Colorado wins --it will probably only take another Chicago loss for the fervent fans to stop their dreaming

Edmonton blows a 3-0 lead to St Louis?? and then wins it in overtime with Ciogliano getting the winner AGAIN?? That Oil team surprises me. Too bad their 7-3 run is only making them reduce their chances for a top pick next year

Toronto is still living their dream. Down 3-0 they score 3 in the third and almost win it in regulation with the goalie out. They then do win it in OT but the loser point means they only gain ONE on Philly-- the rematch should be fun to see

Montreal-- Price gets a shutout against the Devils making Montreal fans say Crystobal who?? ( Despite this I still think having Huet around on the bench is worth more than a pick but perhaps he would have been an unhappy back-up and would have upset team harmony)

And of course my team is super hot in the bye week

-- I had three goalies win last night ( I know only two could ever count but still

Overall it was probably the best night for my team EVER (only lacking a shutout) and its in a bye week

Colorado (Rockies) won 14 straight to close the regular season and made it to the World Series - it could happen

But like I said before, I don't necessarily expect playoffs this year. It would be nice, and it's certainly not impossible, but either way i'll be happy

Crawford had an impressive game last night, by the way - 44 stops on 46 shots, including some very impressive stops late in the game to keep them in it. Chicago was a Robert Lang penalty shot away from winning that game, more than likely (and nearly tied it at the very end on a nice scramble in front of the net, Toews just couldn't get a stick cleanly on the puck unfortunately).

You do not get three point games. Games end after 60 minutes of regulation and 5 minutes of overtime. There is no such thing as a "shootout".

Wins in regulation and in OT get you two points.

Losses in regulation and OT give you nothing.

Games tied after overtime give both teams 1 point.

Hey hotshot, jump on the clue wagon:

1) They're actually not my figures, I got them elsewhere
2) It's exactly as I described it (eg, wins after 60 minutes, eg pre-1983). This is a "proper" job. It's not what you wanted them to be, so you changed them. It's what the NHL was like before OT and 3 point games. You don't like it, fine, but don't tell me it's not "proper" cause you can't figure out what it is.
