Surely you meant that in jest.

Ole Miss is the worst team in the SEC.

            • I was pretty impressed with Michigan State, actually. Not that they were particularly good in the ND game, but rather that they can put together and stick to a winning strategy. Doesn't look they'll crash and burn this year, like we are used to seeing.

              • Don't get ahead of yourself there. MSU almost always starts out hot, then ****s the bed once that start the Big Ten schedule. I'm withholding judgement until next week against Wisconsin. Beat them, and I'll take Sparty seriously.

                  4. Oklahoma

                  6. California
                  7. Boston College
                  8. Oregon
                  9. Texas
                  10. Kentucky

On the brink: Ohio State, Rutgers, Clemson, Alabama, South Florida

Had to put Kentucky on there because they're the only other team (besides LSU) with what I would consider two quality wins so far this year (Louisville and Arkansas). (LSU's quality wins would be Virginia Tech and South Carolina). Alabama would probably have been just outside the top five if they had beaten Georgia last night.

The lack of a quality win (combined with a I-AA game) is also what's keeping Ohio State & Rutgers off my board.

Thing is, they aren't hot right now, but are still winning games. Look, I'm not saying they're world-beaters. They're still the Sparty that we know and love. But it looks like they can produce when things aren't going their way. In this respect, they're much different than last year.

                          • They lost the QB they've had for 5 years, for one thing. Kind of a shallow happy feeling.

                                Uh... not really .

Quinn played for 4 years, but Leak at Florida played almost the same amount. David Greene of Georgia played for the same amount as Quinn and so did Peyton Manning when he was at Tennessee. None of those programs collapsed afterwards. It's Notre Dame's fault that they couldn't keep it going. So, it isn't a "shallow happy feeling".

Notre Dame just sucks this year. They lost their starting QB... it's college, that's what is supposed to happen.
