Maybe because the children actually wasn't in any danger ? It's quite true that Ukraine has fought a war in Donbas against russians, but they haven't attacked ukrainians no matter what language they spoke.

Those kids were in the way of a Ukrainian advance, they'd be dead or conscripted if Russians left them behind. Azov shelled the Donbas for 8 years with our support, but now we care about children. If you're a parent in the Donbas with a teenage son, would you send him to Moscow or Kiev?

It's Ukrainian land. You can't blame Ukraine for retaking land from the invaders/occupiers. That's beyond unreasonable. And there is exactly zero reason or excuse to believe that Ukraine troops would endanger Ukrainian schoolchildren.

Please try to find any documentation for that - that is reliable documentation, not some obscure fantasies.

LOL. So you respect Amnesty International's reporting eh?

Russian forces tortured and deported civilians from Ukraine Children separated from families after forcible transfer Older people, people with disabilities, and children struggle to leave Russia Russian authorities forcibly transferred and deported civilians from occupied areas of Ukraine in what amounted to war crimes and likely crimes against humanity, Amnesty International said in a new […]

As Russia continues its war against Ukraine, Amnesty International is exposing violations of human rights and international humanitarian law.

The bill, which refers to territories whose annexation was announced by Russia on 30 September, envisages legal immunity to those suspected of criminal responsibility for crimes under international law carried out on Ukrainian soil, so long as said crimes were committed ‘aimed at protecting the interests of the Russian Federation

Over the last 10 years, the human rights situation in Russia has been continuously deteriorating. The authorities have severely curtailed people’s rights to freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly, deploying a whole arsenal of laws and practices that are in stark contrast to Russia’s international human rights obligations. This document looks into the human […]

This is kind of sad - how can Ukraians advance when they are loosing to the mighty russian army ? That shouldn't be possibe ! Ok, that is russian fantasy, so it's actually ukranians that are moving forward, freeing ukrainians - why should they kill their own? And conscripted ? Sure, many liberated ukrainians will certainly choose that when their numbers come up, but children ? I'm pretty sure that only russia would call in such.
Oh, teenage sons - I'm pretty sure that most ukrainians would prefer that they moved to Kiev to protect their values instead of becoming facist meatgrinder stuff back in moscow.

They were in danger, the mother said she dropped her kid off at the school a few days before the Ukrainian army advanced on the city. When she returned in a panic she learned Russian soldiers had evacuated the children. Let those parents and children decide if those soldiers committed a war crime. They've been killing Ukrainians ever since the coup, protesters were attacked at Maidan, Odesa, and eastern Ukraine. How many Russians were killed in the Donbas in 2014 or do Ukrainians become Russian for objecting to the coup?

Doc please since it sounds a bit idiotic - you are in a war zone but still put your children into a boarding school at the possible front line - that isn't a reasonable parent.

              • How many people died before "the military action". How many have died since. And, more Russians have died since then.
I guess Mexico can attack Texas since they used to own it in the past and their are a lot of Mexicans living in Texas.

And you are still doing it because your army kind of sucks at everything else.
The worse thing is the Russians seem unable to hit anything other than civilian targets which cannot move.

Thousands of corroborated scenes like this suggest otherwise.

                    • I was speaking specifically about their missile systems. Their kill chain process is so long and complicated that they cannot hit movable targets in a timely fashion. Thus why Russia is forced to target buildings which do not move. This has meant they have primarily deliberately targeted civilian buildings and infrastructure. Both Bellingcat and Perun have covered this topic in the past.

They are documented to have also blown up a great many trucks disguised as HIMARs with wooden facades. I think those were semi mobile.

                        • I believe those were artillery strikes. Again, we are talking missiles here.
