First the Ukrainians yells that they will take back Kherson and build up some reliable attack forces, then the russian ubercommand send all their experienced forces to the west bank of Dnieper and wait for the worst. Instead of attacking Kherson they simply took up wast amounts of territory in the east. In the west, they simply pounded supplies and units until the russians had to retreat under cover of civilians.
