I read somewhere if you get the vaccine and have a significant immune response you might have already had the bug, I guess the thinking is your system saw the virus the 1st time and developed a stronger defense. Which is why I suppose anti-biotics are problematic since we just keep 'evolving' stronger critters to make us sick.
So getting a vaccine is far worse than getting the real virus a second time ? Please stop reading those idiotic sites.
getting first shot on monday, then I'll be pretty happy
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Ah, detailed medical information from the trusted scientific source of "I read somewhere" followed by the "I guess" and "I suppose" interpretation of what it means.
Gee, thanks.

no, your vaccine response is stronger if you already had the bug because your system has been primed to meet the challenge
Which you also experience if you get another attack of the virus - stop claiming that it's the fault of the vaccine.

I'm not blaming the vaccine, I'm offering their explanation for the phenomenon. If you had the bug your system has been primed to fight it. So people who get the vaccine afterward already have a primed immune system and the vaccine triggers it. For people who haven't had the bug the vaccine may not trigger the immune system as strongly, hence a 2nd shot may be needed. The 1st shot starts priming the immune system so when the 2nd shot enters the body its met by a larger arsenal of anti-bodies and a more aggressive response.
Berz, your whole "I've been reading" and "they say / their explanation" approach to your posts in this thread would have a lot more impact if you would show us your sources. A citation, a link, something. This "people are saying" approach has zero credibility. At least for me. Kthx.
True, and the vaccine doesn't guarantee that you won't get Covid. It's intended to lessen the severity if you do get it. At home vs. struggling to live in a hospital.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
