I know someone in the J&J trials who has health complications but is my age.

My understanding is that they include thee elderly and sick in their trials which is why vaccines generally get recommended for them. They are not including children in their trials, which is why vaccines are not recommended for them.

Operation Warp Speed Head Says Trump Administration Responsible For 90% Of Vaccine Rollout

Per Forbes: He also gave credit to Biden for his use of the Federal Emergency Management Act and sports arenas as mass vaccination sites. The former Operation Warp Speed chief also acknowledged that the Trump administration had some failures in “communication” regarding the vaccine rollout, and lamented on the “politicization” of the shot (which is hilarious, considering he freaking went on "Face The Nation" to say that).

But who the hell cares? Seriously. Frankly, neither POTUS deserves credit for anything more than than saying "make it happen" and signing the check.

The scientists and manufacturers deserve ALL the credit. Period.

But for the record: The Pfizer vaccine was not part of OWS, and the J&J 1-shot is just now being distributed. So, 90%? It's a deliberate distortion. But hey, if Trump is so desperate for credit after his sh1tshow of pandemic management, let him put a big check mark next to Moderna.

Same as Proteus and BeBro, will get it, but since I'm young and healthy and can work from home I'm very low down on the priority list.

Got my shot yesterday. By luck of the draw, I received the Janssen vaccine (Johnson & Johnson). It was a Walmart Pharmacy location.
No noticeable side effects either yesterday or today - not even a sore arm.

I want the Oxford/AZN to be successful, but I keep hearing warning signs for it (same for SinoVac). When it comes time, if OxfordAZN is the one offered, I might ask for one of the others (I like all three currently available in the US).

I think OxfordAZN is better than nothing, it is just that we will have enough Pfizer/Moderna/J&J for everyone by end of May (I think) and they seem so much better.

I read somewhere if you get the vaccine and have a significant immune response you might have already had the bug, I guess the thinking is your system saw the virus the 1st time and developed a stronger defense. Which is why I suppose anti-biotics are problematic since we just keep 'evolving' stronger critters to make us sick.
