One day I'll get it. I'm low on the list.

The doctor that told Brian to stay away from people who had the shot - presumably he had had the shot (as a frontline medical worker) and I wonder if he was subtlely wanting to keep Bonkers Brian away.

Dauphin, that's an excellent point. I want to suggest that one not go to a doctor whose training is from You Tube. How to change a spark plug, maybe.

Is this a new view of his, or something he was saying from last summer?

Yes, but not until summer most likely. Not by my choice, but Ontario is being slow to roll out the vaccine and I'm not in any of the priority groups. Otherwise I'd be getting it ASAP.

                  Same as BeBro.

At the moment the vaccine is only distributed by federal centers ... and in Germany, the order of distribution is partially by age and partially by vulnerability/disabilities.
That means, the older people and vulnerable/disabled people come before younger/less vunlerable people
(also certain key work sectors, like people working in the medical sector also get vaccinated first).

So, if I would want to wait for a free shot, it may take till the end of summer.

But according to the plans of the federal government, general practicioners as well, are supposed to be allowed to distribute the vaccine from April onwards.

So maybe I will try to get my shot in May/June from my family doctor. Will surely still be earlier than if I would wait for my place in the line in a federal vaccination center

He said the symptoms were mild but unusual, something he never had before. He later heard someone describing covid symptoms and they matched up. My sister said she might have gotten it back then too, she gave it to one of her cats and spent a small fortune for the vet bill.

I thought I had it too, but I tested negative.

I suspect the people most vulnerable to covid are also the people most vulnerable to vaccine side effects. Older out of shape overweight people in poor health with low vita D and already on other meds need the vaccine more but I'll bet the clotting problem etc is linked to them.

I wonder if the vaccine makers test it out on healthy people or if they include an older unhealthy group to represent the population most at risk of both covid and vaccine.
