I'm getting tired of listening to the Republicans whine about how impeaching Trump will cause more of a divide in the nation and NOW it's the time to heal... especially after all their BS about the election, which is the primary cause for much of the divide.
If they really wanted to "heal the nation", Trump should call a real press conference. ADMIT he lost the election fairly, Congratulate Biden, say he is going to the Inauguration, tell people to stay home and not Protest on that day, and actually look like he means it.
Until he does that, I don't want to hear another word from the Republicans about what the Democrats should do or not do to heal the nation when the Republicans are unwilling to do anything about it except whine.

It doesn't even have to be Trump. It could just be Josh, Ted, Kevin, Steve and the majority of the Republican House/Senate that voted to not certify the electoral college votes on January 6. Maybe all of the Senate (Which is just 8 senators) and a supermajority of the House (100 of the Republicans who voted against certification?).

My point being is that Trump doesn't have to sign that he moves on. While he has been the Republican Party, this is some of the problem, and he definitely doesn't have to be/shouldn't be going forward. So just demonstrate that the Republican Party vocally has moved on.

The mobs, yes. But the supporters for the mobs vote R, listen to Fox News/Opinion, and currently get enough mixed messages to continue to support the mobs and Trump.

Yes, Mitch changed tune (only two weeks ago?) and Pence has changed tune (a little). But the majority of the Republican House and key Republican Senators continue to signal that true Republican voters should continue to support the mobs and Trump.

If you consider the Republican Party to be the States (1), the House (1), the President (1), the Senate (1) and the Media/Committees(1), which I have all weighted equally which is arguably wrong, then the party isn't acknowledging the election result.

The House is maybe 0.2? The States are maybe 0.5? The Senate is maybe 0.7? The President(/Vice President) is probably 0.1? The Media/Committees is probably 0.1? So 1.6 out of a total of 5. And that is arguably really giving the States a lot of credit based primarily on certain Georgia officials.

Let the House, RNC, States and Senate move forward and Trump can be left behind.

Those numbers aren't entirely made up, but how to get to a clear 'the Party acknowledges defeat and is moving on'? To have the House and Senate both acknowledge, that would get us almost to 3. Have the RNC move, and the majority of the Party acknowledges Biden's win.

I agree that most everyone would get in line behind Trump.
