I can find other that think otherwise, it's still just an opinion. I'll agree that it is now, but it wasn't back then and it hopefully will not be in the future because I don't think it can survive as such. Both sides utilize "us vs them." That's not authoritarian. Plus, populism is focused on Washington. It basically breaks down to "don't tread on me."
