On the other hand, it hasn't been legal to send someone to jail because they were gay, or kill them because they were gay or take away their property (by the government) because they were gay for a long time.
And there doesn't appear to be noticeable implicit bias, probably because gay people look exactly like the privileged white population, unlike for racial minorities.

My main point was that I don't take candidates from on-line universities seriously for employment purposes. If it was an on-line course from a brick and mortar college, yes, that would be different.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

People voted on culture more than anything else in this election. Culture is more important to most Americans than liberty and jobs. We have had a POTUS for the last 8 years that has been extremely hostile to American culture, and Americans reacted appropriately.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Imran responded that the movement for LBGTQ? rights had developed organically and that the democrat leadership had embraced it a little late, which is true. But doesn't mean that the party movement hadn't been for LBGTQ? and not for racial minorities and the working class. He also responded that they (racial minorities) should have put more effort into pushing the democratic party to address their needs, which maybe be true but should it be?
He reacted strongly against my suggestion that working class issues and racial minorities issues should be focused on instead of bathrooms and T issues.
In any case, I have also observed that it is the LBGTQ? and allies who are the most upset by Trump's victory and not racial minorities who would seem to be the most in danger. The latter seem to view this election as a normal sort of situation (1 step forward 2 steps back). Trump seems more supportive of LBGTQ? rights than traditional republicans after all. This suggests that democrats have been captured to some degree by the LBGTQ? and allies and also that there is a certain narcissism involved (which was also obvious if you heard all the comparisons of the movement for LBGTQ? rights to fighting the Nazis and fighting against Jim Crow).
Impressions and summaries matter. LBGTQ? is mostly an issue for the privilged and has made much more progress in a much shorter amount of time than class issues or racial issues.

There has been some Indian immigration (some of it Muslim), but most people seem unconcerned about it and are primarily concerned about "Hispanic" immigration.

I know that some on the right think this way, but that is often because they are told lies (Obama is a Muslim, Obama is an Atheist, and so on).
Obama is a liberal (Christian) but such people and their allies make up a majority of Americans.

As far as people being lied to, that he is a Muslim, are you talking about fake news on YouTube or something? The thing is that it isn't so much that they're lied to as much as they don't believe Obama when he says that he's a Christian, and they have good reason not to. The man constantly talks about American values, but he doesn't believe in American values. He is dead set AGAINST American values. He campaigned on unity and he has been the most divisive president in recent history. Just the other day he said that rural America doesn't like him because he is like a foreigner. It would be much better if he got his head out of his ass and actually cared why we don't like him.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?
