Wrong ... no matter how strong your belief is, if you don't know that you need to sign a petition to defend your belief/abortion stance (perhaps don't even know that you need to defend your abortion stance (for keeping the status quo), because there are people who have signed a petition to change abortion laws) then you still won't be able to sign it.

Doesn't matter ... a representative poll is still more meaningful than a petition that represents ~1% of the population.

So you are still lacking any believable proof for your claim that "the majority of the population wants harsher abortion laws"

We should have a petition on Apolyton about it, and whichever option gets the most votes is obviously what the world's population thinks about it.

So, everyone who thinks Ben is wrong please sign the petition.

Everyone who thinks Ben is right please sign another petition ... wherever it is ... if there is one ...

I sign the "Ben is wrong" petition ... currently 100% of everyone bothered to sign thinks "Ben is wrong"

Ditto. But we really don't need a petition to determine that he's wrong. His posts are damning proof of such.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I also sign the petition, of course

One more post and still no proof. Typical BK. He just makes crap up or lies, and can never support it with real facts.

The easiest explanation is that Poles are quite polarized. You have 40 percent saying that abortion should be outright banned, from conception onwards. You have probably another 40 that support the current law and 20 percent that are the muddled middle.

Uh, Proteus source actually cited that the counter petition only got 200k as compared to the petition from the prolifers that got twice as many. If there aren't 2x as many prolifers, if means they actually care more than the pro-aborts. Really simple math.

Yeah... it is simple math. Twice as many people signed a petition. True enough.
But that doesn't prove the original statement you made. The only real evidence (and actual poll) proves you wrong.

Using your silly ass logic, since the vote was 352 votes to 58, one could claim that it was 6 to 1 in favor of not changing it.
But the vote wasn't a poll either. The only real poll disproves your comment.

So yes, BS or a Lie. You were wrong as usual.

While of course ben's position is routinely defeated here as well,

check the reasons why a woman is allowed to have an abortion. They are still way too repressive. They need to fight it more.
I know that an abortion happens in full free clinical care here if a woman wants it and the pregnacy is some weeks old.

Alas polands new government is something less than democractic and its anti-russianism is only matched by its anti-germanism.
meanwhile in hungary they closed down a paper of the opposition.

these countries act a lot like autocracies and they need a greek anarchistic wind to set them straight

                              ...
In poland that's definitely the case.
They seem to possess the most restrictive abortion laws in europe.
On the other hand it seems (according to the same poll that defeats Bens claims) like it is actually the will of the majority that the abortion laws don't get relaxed more.
Therefore, preventing that (against the will of the majority) the abortion laws become even more strict, already is a victory for polish women

According to what, the vote in parliament? Your own source said that 40 percent believe that personhood begins at conception. Seems to me that there's many, many parliamentarians that are not representing their constituents.
