  • No she isn't awesome. She is flawed. But Trump is a walking disaster. That makes her look like an Oscar winner.

Trump has somehow disintegrated his advantage among white males without college degrees. I don't know how he managed that. This is why she now leads in several Republican red states.

    • Polls say otherwise at this point and many of those minorities and groups I brought up aren't voting independent. Those are core democrat voting groups (like Latinos, women, African Americans, etc). Those who are fleeing to third parties (LP) are some republicans and some independent voters. Also Clinton scores well in certain red states I mentioned. Her support is vastly up.
Polls measure percentages, they don't measure turnout. I agree, Hillary is doing well, but when you look at the percentages, it's because Trump's stuck in the 30s and he's having a hard time getting red state voters out.

It is 2016. And its August already. Trump can't recover from all the crap he has said. He has dug himself too deep.

You are as poorly informed on this subject as you are on LGBT people. So quiet down, troll.
Christ, you're a special kind of stupid. I was pointing out the only two campaigns where yes - folks were further behind Trump in August and managed to recover.

Those are the only two, and both caught up by Labor Day. Trump has to be within 5 nationally by then or this is over. He's got a month.

      • BTW, many thought Trump would get his act together, act more Presidential and set up a ground team after being nominated. He hasn't done any of that. He has disappointed quite a few of his supporters (not the core ones who follow him like a cult figure), but rather his outer support as I call it.

Trump was supposed to reboot himself. Many republicans have said that reboot lasted less than two days lol... Before he blundered so many countless times. Attacking a fallen soldier who sacrificed his life to save others in his unit was a stupid idea.

Hillary is hovering around the upper 40s/lower 50s nationally and well above the mid 50s in many swing states. So statistically she is doing quite well. I don't know why she scores so well in some deeply red states like Georgia and Arizona. demographics maybe.

I have Hillary up 7 in just that demographic. Some of whom are women.

The 4 ways are a better measure of turnout based strength.

She was up by seven in Georgia... Which hasn't gone Democrat since... Her husband in 1992. She is also tied in Missouri. I wonder about Arkansas. Have to look those up.

There was only one poll in Arkansas back in June that had Trump 11% up. I wonder if he is now hurting there too. Clinton's old state.

The one you want to look up is Mississippi. South Carolina is in the news today. AR is too far gone just like West Virginia.

Mississippi only had a poll back in March showing Trump 3% only. Nothing new to make a conclusion.

PPP did a poll in South Carolina showing her just 2% behind Trump.

Kansas had a new poll too... which shows Trump 44-39% ahead of Clinton. This is only 5% (close to the margin of error). Before there was a poll showing he had a 10% lead, but she cut into that.

He may have hurt himself in Texas too... but there isn't any recent polling on that... besides a poll that said he was 8% ahead in June.

If all this is really true, the republicans will be spending money defending their own states (as the article above basically suggested). This could be disastrous for them. Hillary will not doubt spend money in several of these states to attack them and put them under pressure.

I doubt Hillary would actually win Texas though. I'm surprised there isn't any further polling. No doubt Trump hurt himself in Texas in recent days... if he was only 8% ahead in June, it could be worse for him now.

She's putting up a strong challenge in polls throughout Southern states presumably locked for republicans. Some people will cry about bias, but that doesn't exist. Even that Kansas poll was representative as they pulled voters from various parts of the state, including rural and suburban areas.

                      • Another wave of bad polling has come out for Trump. He has fallen further behind in Pennsylvania and Virginia, and now this:

                        Hillary 35%, Trump 35%, Johnson 14%.

Utah. Could it vote democrat? This is the type of state Gary Johnson could act as a complete spoiler in, possibly narrowly giving it to Hillary. Salt Lake City surely is an area that will go for Hillary, but Trump is highly unpopular in the state.

If this state were to go democrat it would be the first time in nearly fifty years.

BTW, Nate Silver thinks a landslide could be in the works. At least with the electoral college. 375-163 is possible. A win of over 7% in the popular vote could happen, but if Trump keeps it up she could be the first candidate to win by double digits in nearly 30 years.

He brought up Georgia. The state has seen an influx of well educated white voters from the midwest and Hillary has strong support from African Americans. In addition, one other point that I have read is more and more Latinos are moving to the state.

I have a 400+ Hillary blowout. Trying to decide on UT, AK and LA.

                          • Some have said there has been a 20% surge in voter registration among Hispanics and other minorities in Texas. Democrats have a major advantage with that group in Texas.

It is possible this could end with Hillary taking over 400 electoral votes.
