It is still just speculation from your side ...
whereas the extermination of the Amalekites is fact (at least if you believe the stories in the bible to be true).

On the other hand we speak of a god wo killed thousands of people (including their families) justr for questioning a decision by Moses and Aaron ..
a god who usually prefers not to punish the guilty, buit rather the innocent for any transgressions of its leaders (like the whole folk of Israel for things their leaders to ... the whole folk of egypt for things pharao did (whose heart god just had hardened so that the pharaoh had to do the wrong decision), or the whole line of offspring till a certain generation for things their parents did)

I wouldn't expect anything else from such a god

    • So far BK... your responses to "Tell that to the single woman with 4 children." have been...

Funny you should bring up that example in particular. and Apparently nobody received an education prior to the end of the 19th century.

Care to actually explain both of those comments since neither makes any sense in response to the original post.
But considering many of your posts don't make any sense, maybe this shouldn't be any different.

      • Parochial "schools" are usually very low end when it comes to quality of education and only brainwash children.
        [[citation needed]]

We're a parochial school and we do well in comparison with public schools here in Texas.

        Why? Stupid response!
Why is it my responsibility to pay for your education?

Why would anyone want to pay that?
Because we provide a solid education? I think it's a very reasonable deal, and so do the parents around us. Word of mouth has really helped.

        • A majority of the population did not. sorry. But most of us don't want to live in the ****ing 19th century. Take your delusions about the past and keep it to yourself!
I bet Giancarlo would fail a grade 8 proficiency test from the early portion of the 20th century. You're right, not everyone got an education back then. But most people don't get an education now.

You are an idiot with comments like this one. Keep it up, Ben. I have a Masters Degree. And most people do get better education now than they did back then. You are just stupid.

Poor people in difficult situations have always existed. Schooling is more expensive now, but people who didn't have a lot of money were still educated in the 19th century. I don't see why, in the age of the internet, that we couldn't educate students well for a fraction of the cost.

250 a month is cheaper than a babysitter would be. At 30 a week, you're looking at about 2 dollars an hour. I think that's very reasonable even for people with not that much money.

Parochial schools should be stripped of all public funding and accreditation. Parochial schools are brainwashing centers.

It is the responsibility of all citizens as this regards the future of the country, dumbass.

No. Because you don't provide a solid education. Your parochial school is a religious brainwashing camp. Kids won't be allowed to come up with their own ideas.

Accept what challenge? The fact that should you should be banned off this site?

With that comment, I think you probably crossed the line.

The degrees I have are vastly superior to what was offered earlier in the century.

But you are the same idiot who thinks your BA in History is worth more than an MA Degree.

Well at least you were willing to explain your second comment... but not the first response.
But to your response... 4 kids, $1000 a month vs free in the public school system. Maybe $1000 a month seems "Cheap" to you but if you don't have "that much money", it's probably the difference between eating or not.

You are an uneducated ignorant stupid idiot. You don't even take into account living costs, food costs, rent, etc. $250 a month extra is an expense many can't afford. You don't know anything about being poor. All you do is coast through life in one teaching job after another. You don't even have kids.

And your first paragraph is plain wrong. People were far less educated in the 19th century than they are now.

TANSTAAFL. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch. There's another solution, what would a widow in the 19th century have done?

I am. Do you know what school supplies cost when sending kids to 'free' public schools?

You don't know anything about being poor.
                              Right. I see.
