African-American? What a ****ing mouthful!?
What happens when you have to talk about a bunch of black people in the same instance who are from different parts of the world?
I agree. That term is stupid. IMO, it serves to separate people from being fully "American"
Also, one wouldn't probably refer to white people as "whites". In that way, things are consistentTo us, it is the BEAST.

Just something to be aware of when speaking to Americans.

Mississippi to propose removal of Confederate emblem from state flag
DD's home state makes the right call - let's hope they follow through.
They're falling like ninepins - will there be any holdouts!?"Aha, you must have supported the Iraq war and wear underpants made out of firearms, just like every other American!" Loinburger

[Ben's quote]
What he said is true, he's talking about odds, likelihood. He's not talking about this thug murdering church-goers in Charleston. No where did Ben say black people are violent. That warped phrase came from Mobius, he and Ken's feigned outrage drove you to make a mistake, dont make it worse by enforcing it further. Restore my faith in you, man
2) It might be poor word choice, but what he is saying, is that the average black person is worse than every white person there is. It's right there in his post.
3) The first part of the post you quoted specifically blames all this violence on the culture of 'a specific subset of the population' (and he then goes on to blame blacks). He even claims that poverty has nothing to do with it.Indifference is Bliss

Governors Seek to Curb Confederate Flag License PlatesOne by one, the governors of Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and Tennessee said they favored taking the emblem off state specialty license plates in the wake of last Wednesday’s killings of nine people by a white suspect at a Charleston black church. The suspect, Dylann Roof, allegedly uttered racist statements to his victims and drove a car that included a Confederate flag private plate."Aha, you must have supported the Iraq war and wear underpants made out of firearms, just like every other American!" Confederate Flag: Turning the Tide on a Symbol of the South
Perhaps this is the green shoots of a truly harmonious multi-cultural society in the US after all...?"Aha, you must have supported the Iraq war and wear underpants made out of firearms, just like every other American!" Loinburger

Is it wrong that I'm not entirely sure what is better - the turning of the tide on the Confederate Battle Flag or Ben being banned for 6 months?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
