Exactly. That's the problem in Chicago. It's not poverty - it's not population density. It's not guns. It's the culture of one specific subset of the population that prefers to engage in violence. The biggest victims aren't white folks, or even black folks from white folks - but other black folks! A black man has far more to fear from another black person than they do from any white person. Far more likely to be assaulted, killed, etc.

Can anyone say Angola. For those who don't know, that's the largest slave farm in the US. Probably where this inmate will spend the rest of his life. again, what a waste - for tax payers. At least there he'll work all day for 5 cents an hour... I think the max you can make there is 20 cents an hour. there is no war on blacks... just too many worthless young whites and blacks. we need to make prison so freakin bad most people couldn't even handle 'hearing about it'... and those who survive it, are few.

What's racist about that statement? It's all factual. Black folks are far more likely to die from being shot by other black folks than they are from being shot by white folks. Most of the victims of homicide in Chicago are black people who've been shot by other black people.

If that were so, then why am I pointing out that black people the biggest victims of gang culture? Wouldn't it serve my purposes to ignore it like you do, because the end result is black people killing each other?

Yes, some black people are engaged in gang culture. Some white people are engaged in gang culture. The common thread - the common problem - is the gang culture in general. Are there very well off and successful black people? Yes? Why are they successful? Because they reject the ideas that they have to live according to gang culture in order to be authentically black.

They believe that education, hard work, getting a job, getting married and staying married is the key to success, not "acting white."
