No. Hating the race of the attacker instead of just the attacker is prejudice. Prejudice based on race is racist.
I agree with you mostly, that acting on these feelings is prejudice, because that specific person hasn't done anything to you. And that's how the troubles really get started. One person hurts another, and then the retaliation comes later.
But feelings? Doing things that take you out of bad situations? That seems different to me. We have feelings for a reason and I think telling victims that being angry at black folks in general is racist is going to hinder recovery.
People need to be able to express their feelings without getting instantly shut down. Even ones that are perceived as 'bad' or 'wrong'. If they aren't dealt with then people end up acting on them.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

How could prejudice that is felt not be prejudice?
We are discussing a hypothetical with explicit givens. The explicit givens being that the person hates black people because they were attacked by a black person.
Hating black people is not therapeutic.
Same here - you're dealing with someone who has experienced trauma, and has anger associated with it. That anger has to have a place where it can be expressed. Saying, "this trauma shouldnt' make you angry", or "racist feelings are bad" doesn't actually help you deal with the underlying trauma.
This is a bit strange, usually I'm not the person arguing this end of things, and especially not here. Aren't you the folks usually arguing against repression? What's different about these feelings?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Maybe because the rest of us aren't prejudiced about them like you are? And yes, because some people think they're morons...
Odd thing, I spotted that in a textbook that I've had from the 60s. Will see that in education textbooks today.
Deaf kids are being taught today that they should be empowered by having a language of their own. And that society should accommodate them with their needs. The problem is that this isn't working. They aren't getting the education that they need to succeed.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.
