On Sunday, one of Ireland's most senior Catholic clerics called for the Church to take a "reality check" following the vote.

I contribute and I very very rarely attend. And due to that the church is very interested in me. (based on all the communications and solicitations.)
The church needs more members like me. I contribute more and require fewer resources than people like you. Win win.
Yeah, sure. You want to change the church into something she's not. The Church would lose more catering to you than they would to me, long run. That's been the case for the UMC, for the PCUSA, for the Episcopalians, etc.
Each of these churches have lost a third of their members.
Are you donating enough to make up for a third of the entire congregation? As well as future donations from their families?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

If Ben (and catholics who oppose gay marriage 'for the children') really cared about the children, they'd have adopted several already.
I know an 11 year old who was raised by a gay couple. I also know a couple dozen kids from a foster-care home for both orphans and kids removed from their parents de to abuse. I can say, without hesitation, that if I had to chose, I'd chose being the 11 year old over any of the kids in the home.Indifference is Bliss
