Like anything else concerning the Constitution and/or The Freaking Founders, the natural-born citizen requirement for President is sacrosanct and will never change.

The Presidential term limit was done by Constitutional Amendment after FDR did 4 terms and people got scared about the potential of a President for Life. There is no where near the same fear involving natural-born citizen language being abused.

I recall getting into some sort of argument on facebook with some know nothing shit head claiming that Rubio wasn't natural born because his parents weren't citizens when he was born (in Miami). Getting rid of the requirement might be a good way to shut up the birthers. It's not an issue I care very deeply about, but I like to give the benefit of the doubt to immigrants whenever possible.

I think it the restriction preventing foreign born people from becoming President was put in the Constitution to keep Alexander Hamilton or Thomas Paine from becoming President.
