I believed this before I was Catholic. Yes, you're correct, the RCC church is opposed to it and for good reason. It's contrary to natural law and the concept of a right to life. Contrary to primum non nocere, etc.

Generally ... I would be uncomfortable with it because a living person generally shouldn't have their will in play.

However, in cases where the person is incapacitated and has left a will (or other valid legal document) expressing their wish to be killed in such an event, I'd be quite ok with that. I find trying to force people to live in situations they find worse than death rather abhorent...

What if she didn't? What if she left nothing at all written down expressing her desire to die if incapacitated, and the only one saying that she wanted this is her executor?
