It's your assertion that a real Christian has to accept what's written in the Bible, it's mine that if they accept Christ as their saviour then, whamo, they're Christian. A Christian tries to follow Jesus. His words, his commandments, his will. We might not get it all right, but we try. You can't follow Jesus if you don't try to live after His commandments. Jesus is the Word of God in flesh, btw. The Bible is the Word of God too, and all in there is willed by Him. Written by humans, but stamped by God and to be followed. Following Christ is not a matter of choose and pick. All of NT is to be followed, GT is to be read in light of NT and the parts not fulfilled (like the laws for the Jews) to be listened to. All is a manifestation of God's message to us. Not all in the Bible is literal, the prophesies are full of images, Jesus spoke in parables. But they all contain God's truth.
