    • You are either:

      a) Arguing with the kid on the short bus, or
      b) Arguing with a troll.

I'll let you decide what one, but either way, you don't look good.

I honestly don't know. My time is way too precious to waste on Ben types.

Enlighten me. Why do you do it?

        • It's quite normal to practice your tennis swing by hitting a ball against a wall. You know it's going to come back no matter what but it keeps you in shape for real games. I wouldn't do this in a thread that had anything even vaguely interesting going on, but a stupid thread about a contraception bet? Hardly seems like its doing any damage.

However, when you are resorting to Ben level of entertainment you really should re-examine things.

                  • I've said before that I think America has a ridiculous cult worship approach to the constitution and the founders personally.
The question that arises is, what is the alternative? Canada has the same for Trudeau. Would you rather have cult worship of a 60's hippie or a constitution dating back some hundreds of years? The problem isn't that the constitution is perfect, the problem is that it's better than the alternatives (ie, Canada's Charter), etc.

This imho is extremely damaging to America as it stands in the way of shaping an America that suits its current needs, rather than the needs of centuries ago.
If you believe that, then it's the same as saying that the first amendment since it doesn't guarantee freedom from being offended is outdated. I disagree. Human nature doesn't change.

It is in equal parts funny and sad that people like you can squawk about what the constitution 'says' while paying no attention to why certain things were added or written in the way they were. The men who wrote the constitution didn't think guns were some god given right
That's exactly what they DO say.

Rights are not the product of the government but are inherent. This principle comes from Aquinas, and was popularized by Locke.

I just looked it up, it's actually 98% of sexually active Catholic women. I'm sure if you try really hard you can pretend that means you won something.
Right, and that percentage is easily less than half of Catholics overall.

You should clearly immediate fire 98% of Catholic women employees.
Nuns count as 'sexually active women' Catholics?

There's a pretty reasonable chance that those women were having sex with a roughly equal number of men too
Yeah, except your source doesn't provide a number for that.

you should probably fire 98% of Catholic male employees too.
As you said, "if they don't use it, it doesn't count".

I wonder how you're intending to run all those Catholic institutions when you only have 2% of adult Catholics to recruit from?
Not all Catholics have been Catholic their entire lives. If they used contraception once at 19 before becoming Catholic, then that survey counts them.

The survey also does not distinguish between those who used contraception as Catholics and those who did not, but then, that was the whole point. It also excludes everyone who's not currently sexually active. Which forms a significant portion of those engaged in ministry work. It also excludes all men, etc.

                    STFU liar
Haha. You can't bear that someone rejects your bull****.

I already told you the federal government funded PP since 1970.
As opposed to the funding provided by the BC Provincial government and the Canadian federal government. Moving to Texas removes the provincial part of the funding. Ergo, moving to Texas ensures that I pay fewer taxes to planned parenthood.

Stop trying to blame the black guy for your moral weakness.
Half black, last I checked. If he doesn't want to be blamed, then he shouldn't have signed the bill. He owns this 100 percent.

Don't be stupid. You have exactly the 'rights' which your society guarantees you. Go proselytize in Saudi Arabia and then come back and tell me how 'inherent' your rights to free speech and freedom of religion are.

You're trying to say that nuns form the majority of employees at Catholic institutions?

Ah, so you're hypothesizing that Catholic women primarily **** non-Catholic men?

Why is it so hard for you to understand that the only people who care about contraception are sad old sexually frustrated priests and nuns and pathetic little virgins like your good self?

Are you saying Canada is like Saudi Arabia?

Hahaha, are you ****ing insane? Who do you think those Catholic women are ****ing?
Many are children. Many are rather old, and their spouse has passed on. Many are priests. Many are nuns. Many are men. Many are men and women who are unmarried and live in accordance with church teachings. Many are men and women who are married and live in accordance with church teachings.

See, what the survey assumes is that if you used contraception once, that it means you must currently support it. We know that's not true.

You're trying to say that nuns form the majority of employees at Catholic institutions?
I'm saying the sample is not representative of Catholics.

Ah, so you're hypothesizing that Catholic women primarily **** non-Catholic men?
The survey, again, only gives the number who have ever used contraception even if they used contraception once. And it only counts those currently sexually active. This is a poorly done survey. There's no indication that they actually support contraception or use it today. A better survey would have asked them, "are you currently using contraception?"

Ah, so if a Catholic man ****s his Catholic wife despite knowing she's on the pill, that's completely her fault and he gets a free pass?
                            That's what you're saying, Kentonio.

Why is it so hard for you to understand that the only people who care about contraception are sad old sexually frustrated priests and nuns and pathetic little virgins like your good self?
If you didn't care about contraception then you'd not care if it were banned. Plenty of people care about contraception. If you're going to discuss this the least you can do is be honest here.

Also, the point is still well taken.

You're funny little man, you really can't handle the idea that most Catholics don't really care about any of that ****, can you. Haven't you ever wondered why Catholics don't all have huge families?

I don't wander about 'caring' about oxygen, I just take it for granted. The vast majority of people don't 'care' about contraception, they just consider it an everyday thing. try taking away that everyday item, and you'll soon see exactly what 'caring' means. Widespread contraception changed our society beyond recognition and you're more likely to see the pope wandering around in a spandex glittersuit than you are to see contraception ever go away.

Obviously however you should keep fighting this important fight, as it matters far more to you and your medieval friends than things like starving children or the poor being left to suffer.
