Seriously, couldn't they get Alan Thicke to play Ground Control? You could even have repurposed the set from Space Teens. Huge missed opportunity.

Seriously, Hadfield did a press conference from the ISS with Canada's first and greatest space captain, William Shatner. He also did a simulcast concert with thousands of Canadian school choirs and bands. And he dropped the puck (from space) at the Toronto Maple Leafs' season opener. He also participated in about 70 experiments, including one with sprayed water - the principal would be about the same for rex's proposed 'experiment'.

Apparently Bowie sent Hadfield a favourable tweet about the video.

Here is a link to about a dozen interactive Chris Hadfield moments -

Kids need to get interested in science.

Excite people by science and it'll pay dividends down the road.
Wow a post that I agree with Asher. I feel dirty.

I hate to be a buzzkill, but the US has used its weight quota once and the Canadians zero times to bring a guitar into space.

Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield plans to record an album with a Larrivée Parlor acoustic guitar on the space station.

The guitar used (a Larrivée Parlor) was brought up on STS-105 (Space Shuttle Discovery) in 2001, which went up with 5 Americans and 2 Russian astronauts/cosmonauts. So I suppose it's possible one of the Russians brought it up, but I suspect they'd have brought a Russian model instead. It is of Canadian make, but not brought up by a Canadian.

Why ? So people could plead with him to stay in space and never sing anything again, ever !!!?????!!!!!!
