Didn't watch the Oscars--didn't care, was exhausted from a stomach bug I caught--but I have a hard time believing that:
A. Brave was actually the best animated feature of the past year, and
B. Seth McFarlane was genuinely funny.

I saw Argo on a plane and I thought it was pretty good, the embassy scenes were realistic, although portraying the state dept people as a bunch of nobs was clearly a Hollywood/intel community slant. The diplos are the best and brightest in any embassy, so everyone else both admires and loathes them, lol. I like the way the Canadian Amb was played. The airport and Hollywood scenes were good. All in all a worthy winner. Although the public fascination with people who sneak around baffles me.Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer.
