The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Just an idea I had while reading Elok's book suggestion thread. I like reading books, but I also like discussing books--and I think this is true of many others on Apolyton. So I was thinking we could have, every two months (or some other period of time), a new book for everyone who signs up to read on a schedule and discuss. Thoughts?
Honestly, my main concern is that book clubs are something my mom does, and I want to avoid being too much like my mom.
So pick stick-pic porno mags for reading and discussion.
I'm sure your mum doesn't read Playboy at her book club meetings.
Still, it seems logical that a Poly book club should start with a Poly author (of which I don't think there are any, and this being the next closest thing).
JR's done freelance as have I, but I don't believe there's a poly poster with a published book out. Yet.

Currently reading "The Great Divorce" by C.S. Lewis. So I'm guessing we still haven't decided on a book yet?
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
OK, I'd like to nominate Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman because I haven't read it and there's a reasonable probability that it is a. a good book and b. there are a decent number of people here who haven't read it. Thoughts?
If nobody likes that we can read the Great Gatsby again, I liked that book, it's one of the few assigned books I actually liked in high school. Most people here are so old that when they were in high school electric lights hadn't been invented yet*, so it should be worth a reread with the movie coming out
*yes, anachronism alert, Great Gatsby was written in '25, but be quiet
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?
