Oh c'mon Sava...you know you want to."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003

In terms of books, my own interests at the moment are in classical history and pre-20th century political philosophy. But I'm happy to read some fiction as a break if that's what others prefer. No idea on what to read right now for fiction--haven't read any (good) fiction for years. Open to suggestions."You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

I severely doubt that we can come up with a book to read we all agree on.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I just finished reading "Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy" by Eric Metaxes
I think my next book will be "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald - to read it prior to the movie.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Being forced to read stuff in school pretty much ruined the great authors for me. There's nothing like the structure and authority of the Prussian model when it comes to sucking the joy out of... well... pretty much everything. To us, it is the BEAST.
