You failed to address the specific issues of rape and incest... and the conflicting information regarding the sanctity of a fetus's life when a woman is to be punished for adultery. Please do so. You can reread my earlier posts if you didn't understand the question the first time.

    Also, is incest forbidden? Why?

    Is rape forbidden? Why?
To us, it is the BEAST.

Yeah, as a deaf person, I'd love to be able to fix my own ears. But not at the cost of a life of another person.

There is a way to do this that is a better way - use adult stem cells.

This is the exact same argument that we had many, many times before. It's wrong to kill people, and it's especially wrong to kill people that we regard as worthless or surplus.

Oh, bull****. I've offered a viable alternative to the use of embryonic cells.
So what's your point? You do have a great talent for using a lot of words to say absolutely nothing. You got a Doctorate in Biology? If not, then you are simply arguing a religious point. Unless you have the video of you and God at the burning bush, then why do you think that you are anymore of an expert on religion than you are on Biology?

Quite frankly, I feel you must know the answer in your heart that is clear to everyone else. So sorry for you (even though I know you will just HAVE to respond to this...its okay, we understand. Perhaps science will be able to help you one day. It certainly appears that prayer isn't.)

Again, what is permissible for God is not permissible for men.
That doesn't make sense - haven't god given humans this world to do with as they want ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

I agree. DanS and BK shouldn't have tried to turn this into an abortion thread.

Tough titties. First post mentions embryonic stem cells. Objection to the use of Embryonic stem cells is on-topic.

                    So what's your point?
That the only actual successes with this sort of therapy have come about through adult stem cells.

You got a Doctorate in Biology?
Nope, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night.

If not, then you are simply arguing a religious point.
                    Terrible argument.

I don't see why the entry barrier to opposition to embryonic stem cell use in this thread should be 'has a doctorate in biology', while entry to this thread in support of your views is "has a penis".

                      • Death rates from c-sections are higher than natural birth.
But lower than Abortion. You're assuming one person is involved, not two. Abortion always kills one person. Ergo, we have an obligation to try to save both rather than kill one.

Who should decide how to handle a high risk pregnancy? Doctors or the pope?
Lawyers like Rick Santorum. The unborn child has a natural right to life, the same as anyone else.

You failed to address the specific issues of rape and incest

Child conceived in rape has the same value as a child conceived not in rape. Ergo - there's no reason for us to kill children conceived in rape and keep only children conceived outside of rape. Gosh this same principle works for incest too.

and the conflicting information regarding the sanctity of a fetus's life when a woman is to be punished for adultery.
                        And what passage is that?

You can reread my earlier posts if you didn't understand the question the first time.
This was an enjoyable debate until you decided to get patronizing. Yawn.

Well, then god really don't have a problem with abortions - god have never killed anyone having a such.

Same goes for any kind of stem cell research.

Just because God permits men to sin (there's that whole free will thing again!), doesn't mean that he approves of sin.
