I don't see what relevance the "possible to change sex y/n" argument is. Transsexuals believe (accurately or no) that they are one sex mentally and the other physically. A woman's soul in a man's body, perhaps. They believe they are the other sex, in everything that defines their personality; the only thing that's different is their body's outward representation. So they have that corrected to match who they are inside. Whether or not it's a very good hack, whether or not it is obvious, who cares? The point is, a now-woman transsexual feels she is a woman in everything that makes her a person; even when she is still in a fully masculine body, she still feels she's a woman. What harm to you is it to call her with female pronouns and a feminine name? She goes through body reassignment surgery in part to make that easier on you, after all (although it certainly is also very much for herself).
Why does it bother you to call a person what they want to be called? That's the part that makes no sense, whatsoever, unless you truly are bigoted. Are you going to look at people and say, "Hey, you look Italian, so your name is Tony now" to a guy whose name is Jose? This is basic politeness, basic decency. Nobody is asking you to have a philosophical viewpoint, or agree with psychology, or anything else. Just say, "this person is asking me to treat her as a woman, so I will do so." You don't have to date her. You don't have to do _anything_. Just be nice.
It's rather sad that being polite is too much for a very large segment of our society
