the celibate priest thing has no theological basis, it is a rule, arguably a good one but just an administrative/disciplinary rule all the same
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

That's right, and changing the celibacy rule wouldn't bother me. For those who don't know and don't want to Google it, mandatory celibacy was a reform instituted to prevent nepotism and enhance the professionalism of the priesthood. It made a lot of sense when the Church had so much wealth and power, but I don't think it would be much of a problem today.
      John Brown did nothing wrong.

For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

Well most likely, ~2,000 years ago the services were done in Hebrew or Greek.

Speaking of modern music, I'm guessing you are against organ music in your church

I prefer the Tridentine Mass to the vernacular, and I can't stand priests who try to incorporate modern music and horse****. Whenever a church tries to be modern, it comes across like a sitcom parent trying to rap.

Yo, I'm your mother and I'm here to say, you need to clean your room in a major way.

Religious women should be nuns, and nuns are supposed to beat children over their knuckles with rulers. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum.
I was with you up until the ruler thing, but I agree with you in general principal, particularly with the sitcom parents rap thing.

I'd be down with Hebrew and Greek

I'm down on all music. Drags out the Mass. I like to be in and out in less than 45 minutes.

Or just make it 45 minutes of organ music? Or just make the music kinda quiet so the sermon can be made to some nice background tune?

The best homilies are in the form of a single rhymed couplet.

Oh, you crazy Catholics. Another reasons I can't join y'all . I do love my hour and a half services (and even more so the 3-4 hour Easter Vigil service )
