Can anyone actually disagree that Obama's campaign consisted largely of saying "Hey look , government subsidies!"? And the remainder was "Mitt Romney is a vampire"?
I seem to recall a "you didn't build that" in there somewhere. I can't believe you've already forgotten

You need to leave the groupthink bubble, HC.

Apparently liberals don't have their own groupthink bubble.

I think Jindal's point is that, whether or not they're true, the "47%" and "buying votes with handouts" arguments are poor arguments that aren't going to win you an election. Explain how the Republican vision is going to improve life for all Americans rather than implying half of your voting demographic are lazy.
Further, putting it the way Romney did suggested to those 47% that they need to vote Obama to protect their interests, which is not a good idea IMO as then you need to win 51/53% which is a rather significant portion of the vote for that group...
His suggestion that the Republicans need to have a plan that is better for all Americans, and that they need to try to unite and not divide, is 100% correct, and there isn't a valid argument against that IMO. Both sides need to work on uniting not dividing; governance is about governing for the best of the whole country, not governing for your particular demographic only.

Jindal always looks good on paper, but he creeps me out a bit as a speaker.
He's got 4 years to work on that.
It's the strangness of having an Indian looking person talking with a deep Southern accent.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
I wouldn't totally discount that, JR. Not consciously I'm sure, but when your brain encounters something that doesn't fit its normal patterns, it is common to have a 'creeped out' reaction. For example, if you watch animation that's super lifelike - but not quite, as it never is - your brain notices the little discrepancies and throws up a red flag, so that it's actually less enjoyable than more 'fake' animation. Or, when watching lip synced singers, if it's close-but-not-quite, it seems really wrong to you.
Similarly, when watching Jindal, you hear one ethnicity but see another - making your brain think something's out of place.

While I'm touched at your concern for my possible cognitive dissonance, my reaction to situations you describe are not generally "ooh, that's creepy." I also like to think I'm a bit more enlightened and certainly more media-aware than you are suggesting.
But regardless of the mechanics or causes, Jindal has a definite likeability problem in that area. Anyone who saw his State of the Union response speech knows he needs to work on that. Which was my main point.

I don't think it's anything about being media-aware or enlightened. It's an internal hard coded brain function that's been proven time and time again in modern psychology...
I don't know much about Jindal myself and don't necessarily think that it's one thing or another. Just saying, don't write it off entirely - and if not for you, for a lot of other people.
