And how did Romney's 'damage control' work? Was it effective? Did it actually make things worse? Absolutely. I'll go so far to say that this one decision of his cost the senate seats all over. Had Romney done nothing at all - Mourdock and Akin might still have lost - but he wouldn't have actually LOST senate seats due to the drop in conservative turnout.
I realize this is hard to admit but Romney was a ****ty candidate.
