As a foreigner my two worries about Romney is that he could invade Iran and it would have an effect on the prize of oil worlwide, and terrible if the iranians manage to block the Hormuz Strait, and also that his tax cuts will worsen the USA budget deficit.
I think the USA has to both raise taxes and cut spending, and neither Obama nor Romney propose that.I need a foot massage

Plus, perhaps threat of military force can actually get Iran to back down. That's why they gave our hostages back to Reagan literally the minute he took office. If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

Obama's cuts to medicare are a $700 billion raid. Ryan's plan involves changing how the entire program is administered to make it more efficient. Cutting Obamacare without the senate is trivial. Most of it can be wiped away with executive orders--Obama anticipated ruling without congress, so he put a lot of the regulatory power in the executive branch. Most of the rest can be done by the fact that the 30 or so states the GOP controls are not going to implement it. The remainder can be stopped by the House refusing to put money for it in the budget. RIP Obamacare.
Obama went to war with Libya without Congress, by the way.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

How exactly are executive orders going to get rid of the insurance mandate or really any of the parts of the bill that are actually unpopular?
Obama didn't commit American troops in a full scale invasion and occupation of a country. Doing so without congressional approval would be a radical expansion of executive power on a scale never seen before. Iran's leaders are obviously willing to risk having their nuclear facilities bombed so you really aren't getting anywhere with half-measures that have probably already been threatened anyway.

re Obamacare: The easiest way to kill it would be to do nothing. Assuming the GOP fails to take the Senate, a Romney admin could simply stop the writing of the remaining rules to implement the law, stop Medicare from moving ahead with programs to find new ways to pay providers, stop the IRS from enforcing the individual mandate and even stop Medicaid officials from facilitating the expansion of the program in the states that want it.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

It's not the individual mandate I dislike, it's the tax on employees who don't have health insurance, the requirement that parents' plans support kids until age 26, and ESPECIALLY the non-exclusion of pre-existing conditions.
However, if the individual mandate doesn't get enforced (and even if it does), and the pre-existing conditions regulation stands, I may very well wind up just going without health insurance. It's the most financially sensible decision.
