You can tell he's one of the New Atheist crowd just from the look of him. His face has that pinched, hateful air of superiority about it.
What is a New Atheist? How has not believing in God changed?

      • Basically the same as old atheism, just with worse manners.

        • "Scientific testing of religion

The New Atheists assert that many religious or supernatural claims (such as the virgin birth of Jesus and the afterlife) are scientific claims in nature. They argue, for instance, that the issue of Jesus' supposed parentage is not a question of "values" or "morals", but a question of scientific inquiry."

          huh?

          • Whats confusing about that? How is claiming something actually happened a 'question of values or morals'? If you don't actually believe in biblical literalism then cool, but you can't on one hand say 'Mary was a virgin and gave birth to a child' and on the other say that it's not a scientific claim.

I don't believe that miracles are the realm of science.

              • Who gets to decide that some things shouldn't be considered as worthy of investigation? We used to think that lots of things were miraculous, that we today understand to be natural phenomena.

You can investigate it all you want. The thing is that I don't know who you are arguing with? Who claims that it's scientifically verifiable?

If it has happened, then it is verifiable. If Jesus was the son of god, what did his Y chromosome look like?

That doesn't make sense. Kid is saying who claims (ie, on the religious side) that Jesus's birth from a virgin mother is scientifically verifiable. You are linking that the New Atheists are asserting the virgin birth is a scientific claim. So when Kid says "who are you arguing with", that's a good question.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Huh? He didn't say 'ie on the religious side'. Maybe I'm just having a dumb moment, but he seemed to be being confusing.

                            • It seemed obvious to me that he was referring to those on the religious side not trying to prove Jesus's virgin birth scientifically. Hence, "who are you arguing with".

It seems more like you are just confused .
