I know people who hunt with AR-15s in Ohio. It's not a big deal. It's just a gun. The "military" look is for the fact that that kind of stock and handgrip makes it more comfortable to hold, and makes recoil more manageable. Basically what you're saying is we should ban those guns because God forbid the guns crooks might use could be more ergonomic.
Something you might not know is that that particular type of gun was actually banned in 1994. The ban expired in 2004, but wasn't renewed because the ban did absolutely nothing to stop crime.Comment

Yeah, banning that gun was probably not that effective - though, considering the use of it could maybe have some influence on this. Try banning some of the more ordinary guns and you'll probably se a drastic drop in killings by guns.Something you might not know is that that particular type of gun was actually banned in 1994. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Incidentally, the most recent figures I've found for London suggest another fall to 125 homicides in 2010. From 204 to 125 is a reduction of nearly 40%.
