I'm not taking away anyone's right to an education, or even the right to attend a religious school.

I am all for taking away the mandatory existence of Catholic schools when there are many other religions. It's not fair for the government to favour one crackpot religion over others, particularly one that seems to breed so many pedophiles and hearing-impaired necrophiliacs.

Straight kids are allowed to attend. There is no "homosexuality test", unlike what Priests seem to perform at Catholic schools.

Non-Catholics do attend Catholic schools, it's true. Recent very conservative immigrants who are irate that public schools aren't bigoted enough send their children to Catholic schools to learn intolerance from the very best.

Yeah, that's exactly how gay kids are bullied every day. They are never harassed in the hallways, ostracized by their peers, physically assaulted by the devout, etc.

In my school, you'd be asked to leave. I'm not sure how it works in Ontario. If you don't attend required classes in regular public school, you'd be asked to leave too.

And their children perform better on average. That's why they send their kids there, because they want their kids to get a step up on the others.

Maybe in your school they did. Not ours. My kids are really good. The two classes I've had have been quite well behaved. I haven't had to send anyone down to the principal's office yet.

We just don't put up with that nonsense.
