Check out that picture of a burger and fries from my local chain restaurant burger of choice, Burger Lounge. Organic, fresh not frozen, free range, grass fed beef, which is locally sourced, served a perfect medium rare yet cooked on a very hot grill so the burger gets a nice char on it, the fries are twice fried in suet so they come out crispy and perfectly done, it's topped (in this case) with a slice of real California cheddar cheese
Precisely.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

Young hipsters like cheap stuff because they're poor. Once they get older and have money they turn into yuppies with a hipster bent. Personally, I've decided to embrace the dark side because, let's face it, the food is better and it costs money so admitting you have money to spend on the good stuff isn't a bad thing. You however keep trying to pretend you're not.Yeah, I made a point of stopping there last time I was in NYC. It's nice but don't tell me it isn't a douche hipster/yuppy place. Sure, I like douche hipster yuppy places and frequent them myself which is why I can smell my own.

Aren't you a Texan? If so In 'N Out set up a new distribution center in Texas so it can expand in the lower mid west (It's only their third since they have one in California and one in Utah). In 'N Out demands that everything be made fresh each day including the ground meat so their locations all have to be with in driving distance of one of their distribution centers; since they just built one in Texas that means they're planning on a big push into Texas. That's not surprising really since fast food consumption is decreasing in most parts of the country but Texans can't shovel it in their fat little mouths fast enough so every fast food place in the country is expanding there.Originally posted by Tuberski View PostI'd have to say Five Guys, only because it's been so long since I had In n Out, that I don't remember it. I know I liked it, but how much is tinted by time.
I am going to Utah soon and there is one fairly close to my parent's house. I may stop.

I thought Tubes lived in Utah. At any rate, you know what I like? A nicely grilled porterhouse steak. I've never been to any of the burger places discussed. I've been to Red Robin and Fuddruckers as far as snobby burger places go. I couldn't tell you which one was better, but they were both better than Burger King so mission accomplished.

Wait... You think Fuddrucker's is snobby? :WTF:
I'll admit they're better then fast food since they grind the beef right there in their own butcher shops and I also like that they'll cook the burgers any way you want them but given that they use nacho cheese sauce on their fries they're hardly snobby.

Talk to me when Shake Shack has half as many locations as In N Out, you bandwagon NYC hipster.
Talk to me when In-N-Out has half as many locations as Five Guys, you hypocrite. Shake Shack wins if you're judging solely on quality, Five Guys wins if you also factor availability in. In-N-Out just sucks.

In -n- Out is terrific fast food. Double-Double, no onions, add pickles and fries well done and a shake is my usual. It is absolutely consistently good no matter what In -n- Out you eat in.
I have never tried 5 Guys though. And indeed there will be time To wonder, "Do I dare?" and, "Do I dare?". t s eliot

I didn't get any nacho fries the one time I went. I call them snobby insofar as they treat cooking a burger like it's a life-changing decision or something. No doubt it's good eating, but you're still talking about a second-rate cut of beef, ground up and doused in various sauces and such. I only get snobby about whole cuts.Originally posted by Oerdin View PostWait... You think Fuddrucker's is snobby? :WTF:
