Yes, it's what the government defines as the metro area. It's an official government designation. I've gone over this with you around a half dozen times already.

Interestingly enough, San Diego County is also an official government designation.

Either way, neither is just the city of San Diego. Your numbers are inflated by including the very wealthy suburb, whose median income is over twice what you say the San Diego median is.

      • It's about the same as the rest of north county coastal which means the same as the city minus the noncontigious part next to Mexico. Transition between those suburbs is truly seamless and in reality most people live and work like it's one big city. Honestly, other then the area I bought in back in 2003 (and now wish I'd waited because I can now get a larger house for less money where I actually wanted to buy but where it was too expensive back then) you'd be hard pressed to find a major neighborhood in that area where the household income is below $130,000 but if you're worried about me spiking the numbers remember it doesn't include Rancho Santa Fe which vies with some place in Long Island for the most expensive/affluent zip code in the country. Now, that would be really spiking the numbers.

In 'N Out demands that everything be made fresh each day including the ground meat so their locations all have to be with in driving distance of one of their distribution centers; since they just built one in Texas that means they're planning on a big push into Texas. That's not surprising really since fast food consumption is decreasing in most parts of the country but Texans can't shovel it in their fat little mouths fast enough so every fast food place in the country is expanding there.
No, I am a Utahn. I just live in Texas.

          • If you're near Dallas-Fort Worth then there are In 'N Outs there. In fact people started acting a bit irrational at the opening lining up for, get this, four to five hour long waits to get one of their burgers and there is a famous video of some chick literally breaking into tears of joy when she finally got her double double!

True, the opening of the new In-N-Out Burger locations in Texas is a big deal. For many the event was worthy of overnight camping and long waits in line. But a Dallas Morning News video of this...

                • Arguing over Median incomes of where you live might be even more retarded than arguing about who has the bigger IQ... I'm not sure. It's pretty close.

Yes, they have to pay people a lot to get them to agree to live in such an undesirable place. No one would want to live in your frozen igloo if there wasn't oil there.
