The two does not seem to neccessarily contradict? The first could be understood as "if you do a wrong decision, do the best out of the mess", and that conforms better with statement #2. Not the clearest statements to conform though.

Why would you post that? Now he can just quote you with a .
BK is all fine and good as long as you do not quote him... and there are quotes all over this thread... why am I even here
Socrates: "Good is That at which all things aim, If one knows what the good is, one will always do what is good." Brian: "Romanes eunt domus"
GW 2013: "and juistin bieber is gay with me and we have 10 kids we live in u.s.a in the white house with obama"
If you want to revisit our family law "debate" lets go back to that thread. Your last post here was so rife with inaccuracies, half-truths and blatant wrongness and almost all oi it was previously addressed in that thread with citations by me from sources like law society materials. You really should learn something before you write.
The only part I will address here is your request that I refute that someone can "claim" something under Canadian law . That is an idiotic request on its face as pretty much everyone knows that our system allows anyone to claim anything. I could bring a lawsuit tomorrow claiming damages for you sodomizing my dog last night. Its ridiculous and has no basis in fact, and could not win because the evidence would show you did not in fact sodomize my dog.
I am aware that if I went down the road of again showing how such a platonic roomate/tenant claim would be ridiculous on its merits, you would just retreat to the fact that you never said it was realistic, all you were saying was someone could make the claim.
If thats where you are headed, before we start, Ben, I acknowledge that at Canadian civil law, anyone can bring a lawsuit for pretty much anything, no matter how ridiculous and with no regard to its merits or chances for ultimate success. To take it into the family law realm, a person you NEVER EVER MET could sue you and claim support payments or property division. I could sue Asher for hitting me, when we have never met in person or Rah for destroying my car when AFAIK he has never been in my city. So nothing prevents the making of ridiculous claims (although courts can and do assign cost consequences against the bringer of such claims). I just wanted to get that out of the way --- If you want to talk about what the law provides and what is realistic based on judges hearing the real facts (no bribed judges or multiple lying witnesses that somehow cannot be refuted scenarios where the debate becomes about what is possible if everyone lies) I will be in our thread on this topic. Last time there I had posted about 5 times mocking you, and you disappeared.
You don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

1, "If somone else gives you orders, carry them out to the best of your ability."
2, "If you made the wrong decision on something that is your decision, best to back up rather then carry on."
Two, very different situations.

I love Don Quixote, and yeah that wouldn't be a bad screen name either.
Zoe, that's what you took from the book? I'm disappointed. Quixote is so much more than this.
It is not that Quixote is mad, but that he's the only one seeing things as they truly are, beyond the superficial.

He does that for every argument when he's been shown as the fool. Which happens almost every time.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
