Sounds like justifications to keep unhappy people together. It's not about 'it's better for a man not to marry if that is the case', it's about not knowing in advance. As you say, man is not perfect so you can't know for sure if you are always going to have a happy union with this man or woman. Not saying divorce should be taken lightly but when it is to the detriment of one or both parties to remain committed to the relationship, a just and merciful God would provide a way to exit that marriage. A marriage, like the sabbath, is supposed to be a gift from God for man, not man for the marriage.

A just God would insist that people should honour the commitments and promises that they have made to the other person. Even if they are inconvenient or difficult.
