Your reason that it is silly to believe that God exists is that He doesn't exist. So the burden of proof for your statement is on you.
Your reasoning is just plain bad.
And you do have lots of evidence that you aren't a millionaire. You don't have any that God doesn't exist.

(I don't say anything to most atheists, because it is perfectly possible to be an atheist due to reasonable reasons. But your reason fails the initial reasonability test.)

No. my reasoning is that I don't believe that god exists, therefore, for me, it is silly to believe that god exists.
I phrased it that way to reflect 'internal monologue', if you will, to ask Kidicious why my previous statement was inconsistent. I'm ultimately arguing his statement that believing what you want to believe is a good thing.
I'm well aware that trying to logically prove what ultimately is a question of faith is ridiculous, and that there are pro-religion counter 'arguments' to every possible anti-religion argument (see Pastafarianism's 'lastthursdayism' for an extreme example that warrants the inverted commas).
And you do have lots of evidence that you aren't a millionaire. You don't have any that God doesn't exist.
If "God" just means an omnipotent, omniscient personal entity then it's unfalsifiable, because it's impossible to make any predictions regarding what such an entity would do. However, if this "God" is also supposed to be benevolent, there's lots of evidence that It doesn't exist. Far more evidence against it than for it, in my opinion. And a benevolent God couldn't be Yahweh. Look at all the stuff that ******* did.
I won't comment as to whether or not people in industrialized nations are happier than those in the 3rd world. I'm only making the point that those with hope are happier than those without it.

Some of the happiest people you'll ever meet are genuinely mentally retarded or mentally ill. I'm not even trolling -- this is truth.
If you want to add Christians into that mix also, that's up to you.

I do sometimes get together with my friends and ramble incoherently at each other. We occasionally hit each other with foam bats as well. Entertaining, if ultimately pointless.
That which is infinite is not pointless. That which is finite is closer to being pointless.

You are talking of ignorant bliss quite specifically. It's the ignorance of what happens after you die, the ignorance of the realities of this world that makes many religious people happy.

Who is to say that you aren't ignorant and they are?

Reality, science, reason, rationality, and logic.
