huh? I'm not saying you are racist. I'm saying this whole situation with Asian women treating certain types of white men like white gold or something. I doubt this being about love in aggregate (ie- not referring to Lancer, Aeson, Lincoln, etc. specifically)... It's about social standing and power and historically subjugated women.

Quite the opposite. Urban districts usually spend far more than rural districts on a per-student basis, and have far less success. This is why it makes sense for NYC to have higher requirements, because they have more to spend. More money, higher pay. Also, greater access to teachers. Schools in NYC can recruit from anywhere, whereas schools in Kansas are much more limited to locals.

These are public schools Albert, they aren't subject to market forces. It makes complete sense that NYC would want the 'best and the brightest' which is why they set the highest standards in America because they deserve the best. It also means higher pay scales for teachers. Yes, the working conditions suck, but the pay is rather exorbitant. Especially in NYC when you take into account standards of living, etc.

Consider, how often do you see white women married to Asian men? Yet the opposite is incredibly common. If this was all truly about love and chance, shouldn't the numbers be more even? Clearly, there are sociological forces at work here in the context of a history of subjugation and racial identities.

There's no history between white or Black women and Asian men... there's no likelihood of an improvement in socio-economic standing. There has been no historical sexual fetishizing of Asian men.

Why would they? I know no one wants to admit this but I think a significant % (not saying how much or if it's even a majority but there is a significant %) of inter-racial marriages have more to do with all these historical racial complexities than with anything else. But looks like everyone on Apolyton is too scared to talk about something that is so obvious but is taboo to discuss.

Yes. That is a well known phenomenon.

For the white woman, it symbolizes rebelling against an old taboo (Black men were historically lynched for what was seen as the greatest sin to have relations with a white woman) and embracing the sexually fetishized Mandingo Black man.

For the black man, it's the Frederick Douglas effect and has been demonstrated by the majority of Black athletes, actors, and professionals. Having a white woman is a symbol of having arrived and taking from the white man what is 'his'.

Black women have been known to decry the fact that white women take 'their' Black men, as well.
