2) Even if you consider the port and surrounding waters to be foreign territory wrt Israel, you've acknowledged that you would not have thought it a violation of international law had Israel stopped the ship within the surrounding territorial waters [of whatever state you consider to have sovereignty]. A blockade is an act of war, and therefore said state would not be a neutral party and the general right of free navigation accorded to neutral states would still not be in jeopardy.Comment

Israel's really helped the US, I'm not surprised the US is helping back
They've kept the Syrians, Iraqis, Libyans and Iranians (work in progress) from getting nukes.
