What percentage of those experts is Jewish?

What percentage of those experts believes what they're saying, instead of just saying what Israel will try to use as justification?

What claim was that? Asher claimed that Canada was a paragon of Jewish tolerance and the US was backwards. I was attempting to show that they weren't so contrasted.

            Rampant antisemitism my ass.
I don't see how that necessarily follows. If Canada, a state that had numerous visible examples of antisemitism could be a paragon of progressiveness, it apparently isn't inconsistent. Especially when you compare either country to much of the rest of the world where they were being slaughtered.

But that doesn't take the responsibility of the mob away.

If a man walks with a bag of money into a scary neighbourhood, he's stupid, but the guy who takes the money is still a thief.
Absolutely. I'm glad to see you basically agree that Israel's actions here were "stupid", which is pretty much all I was expecting of people. So maybe you aren't a complete moron defending completely moronic behaviour after all, go you

Like I say, the blockade's legality isn't too big an issue, it only really matters to me in that if the "mob" thought they were being boarded illegally then they would believe they have the right to defend themselves. Given the legal wishy-washiness of the matter, perhaps a more open confrontation would have been better rather than late-night sneakiness.

                  So the IDF was attacking?

                  • Clearly they didn't have the 'vision' to realise that their attack was sheer stupidity...

I can't believe people are still defending this attack - any fool could have told you it was a highly risky action!

But then clearly Israel didn't want to do this out in the open by waiting for the boats to enter Gazan waters before searching them during daylight...

                        • By the way, another argument here was that IDF killed crazy muslim fanatics who want to become martyrs, or something like that.

Looks like they killed a Turkish politician who was a unviersity graduate and held a doctorate in psychoanalysis. It kinda doesn't sound like a good example of a crazy muslim fanatic, right?

Better still, they killed an american citizen with "one bullet in the chest and four bullets fired into his head from close range". I don't know what others think, but four bullets in the head at point blank range sounds more like a horror movie, not like a "self-defence of Israel soldiers from an american citizen", like IDF claims.

                          • Don't worry about it Ellestar. Israel is rejecting an international investigation but rather is promising to carry out the investigation themselves.
