I didn't say your interpretation of the word is "unfounded". I was objecting to:

I have a real problem with people who endorse gay marriage, and want to teach children about gay marriage, and who still call themselves Christian. Homosexuality is sinful, and scripture is very clear about this. There are many areas of legitimate disagreement between Christians, but this is not one of them.
