  • That's the whole point: She began launching into one about Eastern Europeans 'flocking' to the UK, and Gordy ducked the issue...

It was never actually established whether she was a bigot or not, so my main point in all this 'Bigotgate' bollocks that's been blown completely out of all proportion compared to the real issues like the current economic crisis is this:

What is worse, incorrectly calling someone a bigot when they're not - or apologising to the nation on behalf of someone who is...!?
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

      • Actually, I find that an invasion of privacy.

But then Labour has been eroding our civil liberties for over a decade, so it's only fair that Gordy gets a taste of his own medicine!

          • well it's hardly a privacy issue. brown had a sky mic on so that his conversations with the public could be broadcast live and so promote his message. he couldn't exactly complain about his privacy being invaded when the mic picked up something he didn't want the public to hear. hence the grovelling we saw in the aftermath.

              • this episode made gordy seem more real to me. If someone is giving me a hard time at work and I have to be polite to them, then the moment I get in the van I will vent about that ****ing **** giving me aggro. which is pretty much what gordy did

He was in the car. The interviews were finished. It is a privacy issue - but damned funny that he of 'Big Brother' Labour was on the receiving end...

And yes, Sky, as in Rupert Murdoch who hates his guts and wants the Tories to win. So for that alone, allowing a Sky mike, he is clearly too stupid to run the country...

I didn't follow the link but I presume it's the "bigot" tape that I heard a few days ago.

That was painful to listen to. Politically it has got to hurt.

“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

                        • That's the dude who was uncannily accurate in predicting Obama's victory?

If that was the result, to quote Ted, I'd hit it!

                          • It seems ridiculous that the Lib Dems can do so well yet have so few seats. But wow, looks like Labour are in for a kicking mind you!

                            • I don't want a tory MP here, and the Labour incumbent has a 6k majority. Do I go with her, or support the Lib Dems, who are closest to my views?

                              • You stick with your labour candidate and hope that the Libdems get into a coalition government where they will fight through a PR system that will make such difficult choices unnecessary in the future.
