Interesting to see the right-wing press concentrating on smearing a LibDem leader. That's something I've not seen before in the seven previous General Elections I can remember.

The Guardian have a swing-o-meter toy too. You can view the effects on your own constituency. In mine, (Islington North), even the max allowed 10% swing away from Labour won't shift the Labour incumbent. Under 1st-past-the-post, individual votes seem meaningless in constituencies with large majorities.

it's getting really interesting now, a genuine 3 horse race. the 'clegg bounce' following the first leader's debate has receeded, but only slightly and most polls still have the lib dems level with labour or one or two points ahead. the tories are polling between 33% and 36% of the vote, so it looks like we're heading for a hung parliament.
meanwhile brown's new strategy of meeting ordinary voters has suffered something of a setback"The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.
