I was going to point this out but Ben would dismiss it outright if I did, talking about how I'm always talking about gay stuff, etc.

But it is delicious. Ben is all about supporting people who DO openly persecute gays as a group (he name-dropped his support for Bill Whatcott a few minutes ago), but the second people are becoming critical of specific members of the Catholic church for molesting boys...that's just like the holocaust.

I must, unfortunately, agree . Jesus is, at his core, love. He sacrificed himself, putting himself through torture, in order to pay the price for our sins and give us the gift of eternal life. It's not persecution for non-believers in the church to express displeasure with the fact that some believers of the church like to rape children.
