I had my own good news come through this week. On the same day I found out 1. I got a super kiss ass ranking (the highest possible) and 2. my promotion came through

But I am not working at GS...
And 75% of my floor are CGI-employed help desk workers. It's painful. 20% of them are "business analysts" (eg, arts graduates who just talk all day ), and the remaining 5% are devs like me. That's 5 of us, by the way. Two of them are underlings.
