    It's been a long, hard slog...but I'm going to leave Toronto

    I am FREE AT LAST...soon.

    My SO landed a job with an engineering firm back in Calgary and starts on Monday.
    I've been given the green light to 'work from home' for my current job from Calgary.

    I'll be hanging out in Toronto up through the end of July because of my current lease, my brother's wedding in the area, work stuff, etc. but after that I'll be back home where I belong.

    Suck it, Toronto.

    (This is all the plan and it's subject to change. If the SO hates his job or it otherwise doesn't work out (engineering firms are very cyclic with employment right now, especially in the oilpatch), the plans are off. But it's looking good.)

                        Is it substantially cheaper to live in Calgary than TO? If so, then working from home is a sweet setup. But I would make sure to have a dedicated room for an office, if you can swing it.

                            I have to ask, how do you see my year going? Would be nice to get some insights down the road.
