    Amazing analysis, Lorizael.

Good luck, Supercitizen. My grandfather had a brain tumor. He didn't have it operated on, blacked out while driving, and died from the car crash. Medical progress marches on, and it's nice to know that they will be able to operate on you with the odds more or less on your side.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

When I saw the thread title I thought it was some bad joke or something. Hold in there. If you need something from Croatia, dunno, rare medical herbs or something, let me know and I will find them and ship them to you.

Man, and I thought I had a problem with my toothache yesterday.

Vet, nah, don't worry about it. Of course there's people who are even in worse condition than I am. At least I have a decent chance. There are tons of people with no hope.

This could be a blessing in disguise. I'm learning the value of life at an early age. THis means that should I survive, which I have full intentions of doing, I will be much more happier.

I'm just curious Pekka, has anyone else in your family suffered from a brain tumor?

Riesstiu, no. In fact in known family history, no cancer either. In fact, I just read that only 700 brain tumors are diagnosed per year in Finland. So that makes me special

But as for now, I'm sure I'm going to beat it. It will be something I have to live with, it might come back again, but then we'll just deal with it time after time.

And I don't have to go and get that kemo(spelling?) either. It'll just leave a scar in my skull and a shaven spot for a while. Ideally that is.

Oh no, Pekka. That is horrible. Get the surgery, and take your chances.

I'm very sorry to hear this Pekka but if it is any consolation Finland has an excellent medical system and I'm sure your odds are the best they can be. It is no doubt still scary as hell, I know I'd be out of my wits, but you've always been a strong person so I know that if anyone can beat this it is you. God speed, Super Citizen.
